Many women are saying: “My hormones are out of whack, that’s why I can’t lose weight!”
It’s true that our hormones change, and of course, they do affect our body shape and ability to lose fat as well. Especially around perimenopause and menopause, these changes are more noticeable.
At the same time, we have to think about what else could be causing these hormonal changes. One big piece of the puzzle is our lifestyle. The choices we make regarding our nutrition, fitness, thoughts, behaviors and stress are shaping our hormonal profile as well.
So, today I’d like to discuss a different viewpoint when it comes hormones and weight and health problems:
Are the hormones that are causing these problems?
Or is poor hormonal health the result of our too stressful lifestyle?
