It’s the end of the year, and many people are thinking what diet to jump on on January 1.
If you are a physically active woman, here are the 2 diets that I recommend you stay away from: Intermittent fasting and keto.
I’m sharing some paragraphs from Stacy Sim’s book “Next Level: Your Guide to Kicking Ass, Feeling Great, and Crushing Goals Through Menopause and Beyond”. This book does a great job of describing the research on these topics, as well as the history of these diets. Did you know that for a long time, research was done only on men and not women, but now as the research is starting to include more women, it finds that fasting and keto are not healthy for women at all? The negative benefits are amplified in physically active women!
