The time we spend planning and worrying about food, tracking, measuring food, then still thinking if we could have eaten better (=less) takes away HOURS every day.
I once had a client who stopped doing all that and found that she has 40 extra minutes a day. Over the week, that adds up to 4.5 hours, and over the month, about 20 hours!
I asked her what she can do with this time and she said that she would love to go on more hikes with her daughter. What time is better spent — weighing our food or hanging out with someone we love?
Trying to eat super healthy may end up in the opposite way because we end up under eating. That means: problems with adrenals & thyroid which often manifest as chronic fatigue, unstable mood, loss of hair, bad skin, loss of period, no sex drive. Not fun.
If we find ourselves constantly fighting with our partner because we're so damn hungry yet still not eating, or we can't go out to eat because no place is ever perfect, or we run to the gym first thing on a Sunday morning instead of staying in bed for longer 😉
