In this podcast, we're talking about what we have to know about the scale weight. You may be upset that the weight is not going down every week even though you're in caloric deficit — but I'm going to argue that you shouldn't spend too much energy worrying about it, because there are other, more important markers to look at.
There are people who say that the number on the scale never matters — that you can be any weight you want, and it won't affect you.
I disagree with that.
Then there are people who get obsessive about their weight, worrying about every single fluctuation.
I don't agree with that either.
But this is the group of people I want to talk about today — people who are making their scale weight the most important thing, and as a result of that, don't even see the wins that they are having.
Small fluctuations in your weight are perfectly normal and should not be a reason for worry.
I work with many clients who want to lose body fat, and it's very important that they understand that weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing, and that their body weight fluctuating doesn't mean that they're not making progress.
