Reverse Diet: Have The Right Expectations – Balanced Vibes Ep276


You have heard me talk about a reverse diet multiple times on this podcast and I link to some of the videos below.

To put it simply, a reverse diet is needed when someone has been under-eating for a long period of time and therefore slowed down her metabolism. In order to regain their health and metabolic health, we need to increase calories in a strategic way. This will also prepare the body for the future weight loss/fat loss if this is the goal.

The problem is though that people often think that they will start losing pounds and inches immediately after starting a reverse. They are looking for the same wins a calorie cut would typically give them.

But the wins you celebrate in a reverse diet will be different! It’s important to have the right mindset and expectations before you start your reverse.
