Macro tracking is a great weight loss tool and I would say that weight loss is the main goal for probably about 85% of my clients.
But macros can be used for many other things too.
Back when I was recovering from years of amenorrhea and was heavily leaning towards what I thought was food freedom (my interpretation of it looked like eat whateeeever you want, like fro-yo for dinner and you’ll be fine!), I didn’t think that we should even care about macros.
But when I did start learning about them and saw not only my body composition change but also hormonal health improve, I started to think differently about it.
Now I think that most people should be more aware of macros, understand how to use them and how to get the right amount of each one, how to put together a balanced plate, etc. This is important for our health too, but unfortunately not too many people know how to use them for their benefit.
