Is Your Mind Racing 24/7? Here’s What Helps

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR MIND IS RACING 24/7?

Yes? I thought so! Mine too!

But I have a few more questions. Do you also…

✅ Plan everything ahead and get upset if things don't go the way you had planned?

✅ Need to know exactly what, how and when happens next?

✅ Worry about what might happen next (kind of worry “just in case”…)?

✅ Multitask constantly?

✅ Feel like you always have to be doing something?

✅ Can't sit still?

✅ Need your workouts to make you feel like 😷 🤢 or else it wasn't worth it?

✅ Need a diet plan to follow because you don't know how to eat without rules?

Being constantly “On” Is Exhausting

This used to be me, and in some ways, it still is. But it's so exhausting! The way to start fixing this always racing mind is to do the exact opposite things to those that we're used to be doing.

Here are some examples:

👌 Instead of super intense workouts, do slower workouts. You can also check out Simple Strength for Women program for this. Stop thinking about how many calories your workout burns. Just slow down and feel the mind-muscle connection and how you're moving. This is how I started training when I had recovered from hypothalamic amenorrhea, and I know my body so much better now thanks to this. It doesn't need to go hard all the time.

👌 Take some time once in a while to sit still. You don't have to earn it by doing a million things first, you don't have to work out first. You can do it right now. Set your timer for 10 minutes and breathe. Don't use that time to put together your to-do list. Just breathe. It helps so well.

👌 Reduce the outside “noise”. Spend a little less time on social media, stop watching the news, leave your phone home when you go for a walk. Do the things that make you feel grounded and present.

Do these things consistently and you notice how your always racing mind slows down too and you're able to sleep and focus better and be more present in your life.

Is your mind racing non-stop? How do you slow it down? Share your tips with others!
