341. Always BUSY, Thinking, Problem Solving, Fixing? THIS Is Why You Have Chronic Pain

Are you a person who always tries to fill every moment of her day with something productive? At the same time, you have chronic pain or other chronic sensations in the body that no one has been able to figure out?

If you are always doing something in order to be productive, you may be putting your nervous system under pressure than is good for it. However, doing so has become so normal to you that you don’t even realize that there’s anything wrong about it. But if you’ve been more anxious and have chronic symptoms, then this is how your nervous system and brain are letting you know that this is too much.

For example, when you have a few minutes standing at the check out line, you get your phone out and check your messages, real quick.

When you are making dinner, you also check your social media 15 times while also checking your kids’ homework.

When you have a free moment between work tasks you use this time to text or scroll the Internet.

You do dishes, prep lunch, eat, reply to messages, online shop, read a book and listen to a podcast all at once.

When we fill every moment of our day with something seemingly productive, we never allow our nervous system to rest and calm down. And that means more pain because as we know, in order for chronic pain to go down we need to spend more time in a more relaxed, present state.

Check out today’s episode to learn what you can do if you have this habit of keeping yourself constantly busy, and what to do instead. As a result, you start getting relief from chronic sensations and anxiety too.
