There’s power in mornings. The way you start your morning often determines how the rest of your day goes. I want your day to be awesome, which is why I'm inviting you to join me for Wednesday Morning Workout Quickies.
I like to start my day with a little bit of movement, even if it’s just five-minute quick workout or a 15-minutes slow walk. I need it to start a good day.
If you haven't tired moving first thing in the morning, you should! I promise you'll love it. I help you get started.
Because I know that getting out from the bed even a bit earlier than what you've used to to move your body makes you feel amazing. You may not know it yet… but you'll see 🙂
That's why, starting next week, I want to challenge you to do a short, 5-minute exercise every Wednesday morning, before you do anything else.
I call the 5-minute workout a Morning Workout Quickie.
Even if you don’t think that you’re a “morning person”–and in fact, especially then–you’ll see how this little act can make a big difference in your day.
Every Tuesday for the next eight weeks, I post a quick, 5-minute Morning Workout Quickie that you’re going to do the next morning (on Wednesday). You will find the workout in Urban Jane Facebook group.
That’s it!
It’s only going to take five minutes, so you can do this! Set your alarm for 5 minutes earlier, and get an awesome start to your day.
Are you in?
I know that even just the thought of working out first thing in the morning may seem extremely insane. And even though I'm a morning person and mostly workout in the early am, there are days when I struggle with working out too. If that's the case, I just have to get started, and that's the advice I want to give you too: Just get started.
Today was one of these days when I didn't feel all that awesome.
This morning I was up 4.30 to get ready to teach a class at 5.30. I usually workout myself right after that, but this morning, I wasn't feeling like it at all.
I was still sleepy after teaching the bootcamp. I was starting to get hungry and just the thought of swinging that kettlebell and doing burpees sounded like a bad idea.
But as they say: Get your body moving before the brain figures out what you're doing. So I just picked up that kettlebell and got started.
Half way through, I knew it was the right thing to do. And I finished the workout feeling awesome and happy that I got myself together and did it.
It's not to say that you should workout when you're extremely tired or that you should never take rest days. Not at all! But most of the time, you just need to remind yourself of your goals and simply get started, without wasting too much time on thinking.
And if you workout smartly, the workout will be done in the matter of minutes (my workout today was about 20 minutes long).
The morning workout quickies will be even shorter: They're just 5 minutes, and they're totally equipment-free.
The morning coffee and breakfast taste so much better after a workout!
If so, please join the Urban Jane Facebook group!
Let’s make Wednesdays awesome by taking just five minutes from our mornings to break a bit of sweat.
You'll love it, I promise!
