Stop Apologizing For How Much You Weigh and How You Look

Many times when I tell someone that I'm a personal trainer, they start apologizing for the way they look, how much they weigh or how out of shape they've gotten.

The same thing happened last week and again this week.

Not All Trainers Walk Around Judging Peoples Bodies.

It makes me sad that this is what people think personal trainers do – walk around judging people for their appearance. That's why these people think that as soon as they start talking to a personal trainer, they have to let them know how badly they regret that “they've let themselves go”.

There probably are trainers who do judge and I'm sorry about it. But I can promise you that there are many, many trainers who don't  🙋🏼‍♀️

What's Actually Interesting About You (It's Not Your Weight)

It also makes me sad that many women seem to think that their weight is the most important thing about them. It isn't, it never will be! When you meet a person, do you care how much they weigh or how their last diet went and how much they gained back after they started eating ice cream again?

You probably don't even think to ask any of this, because that's not what makes this person interesting.

There are many other things that are way more important than your weight.

Who you are as a person?

What do you like, what are you interested in?

What makes you happy, what gets you fired up?

What do you dream about?

How are you going to use the unique gifts what you were born with, and that only YOU have?

It's Okay To Have Fitness Goals!

If you have health and fitness goals, that's great! Talk to any personal trainer or other fitness professinal and they're probably happy to help you.

I’m more than happy to support and guide you (no extreme diets are part of it, obviously). You can get fitter, stronger, learn how to eat better and the way that works for YOU, have more energy – and that's all great and wonderful. You can get in touch here and let's see if I can help you.

But while you're working on all that, please stop apologizing for the way you are right now. Instead, own it and see how much more powerful that feels!
