I gave it a name Feel Like a Badass Workout, because when you do it, that's exactly what you are–a badass!
On Monday, I wrote about working out with battle ropes. Yesterday, I incorporated two of my most badasser-y workout tools, a tire and battle ropes into one workout. It was a good one!
The whole workout took me about 15 minutes, but done in around 90 degrees in the middle of the day, which was probably the hottest time yesterday, I was pouring sweat already half way through. I'm not complaining though. Summer is close and I love it. It just means that there will be more early morning workouts in the future.
Maybe you're lucky to have a huge tire at your backyard, and maybe even a battle rope? Or maybe you go to a super cool gym that has this stuff. Then, this workout is for you.
Using battle rope and a tire means that there's no need to spend more than 15-20 minutes on your workout. Even if you wanted to, I have a feeling that you would get exhausted pretty quickly. But because the afterburn effect of these workouts is awesome, you don't need to go longer than that, as long as you're working hard.
Set your timer for 30 seconds work and 10 seconds rest period.
Here are the three exercises that you'll go through 6 rounds. If you want to, even more!
Remember to keep the core engaged when slamming the ropes, and back as straight when flipping the tire. This is crucial if you don't want to hurt your back.
