Have you ever thought about jumping into freezing cold water?
Probably not…but why would you want to do this?
What if I told you that cold water has numerous health benefits, such as:
- Speeding up metabolism (which in turn helps to burn body fat)
- Fighting inflammation. People with various inflammatory diseases, such as allergies, asthma, arthritis, IBS, endometriosis, have found relief from cold water practice
- Faster workout recovery
- Improved blood circulation
- Boosting immune system
- Deeper and longer sleep
- Mental clarity
- Reduced pain
- Improved stress tolerance
“But I Don't Like The Cold!”
You're not alone in this! In fact, whenever I recommend ice cold showers or baths to someone, they usually say:
“Sure, I believe it works for you but you know what, I really, really don't like the cold.”
Believe me, not too many people who get their feet into 32-40F water, love the first few moments. But after a short while, they notice their fear slowing down, and they start to feel more relaxed.
A minute later, they're feeling a lot better. Once they step out, they feel empowered, happy, energized, and at peace.
What people have said after an ice bath:
- I feel open and ready to receive — I want to meditate right now!
- My head is so clear, and I feel ready to take on anything.
- I feel energized and empowered, and I'm so proud of myself for doing this! I can only imagine what else I can do!
